Inherited bad teeth?

do bad teeth run in the family, because i might have inherited them from my father. so can anyone tell me how much is it to get your teeth fixed. also how much does it cost to get them whitened from a dentist. however if you dont want to go the professional route what products are there can you buy from the store for teeth whitening. thks

Reply:You can keep your teeth strong by drinking more milk or anything that has calcium. Your teeth are bones. If your bone is strong your teeth will be too.
Reply:There is still hope. You just have to be very precautionary with your dental hygiene. Also tell your dentist your fears so they can be proactive.
Reply:Crooked teeth can run in a family, just like overbites can (and mine did). I got the braces, so that%26#039;s all fixed up, but chances are, my kids will have them, too.

Reply:I%26#039;m not sure exactly how it works but it seems pretty common that people with bad teeth have that in common with their parents. I%26#039;m not sure how much braces cost but as for the whitening, I use Listerine Whitening Rinse along with a whitening toothpaste. I%26#039;ve heard good things about Crest White Strips that worked well for my cousin. They are a bit expensive though.
Reply:Yes u can inherit teeth fr ur parents. I did. The best way to find out about prices is to call several dentist offices and compare prices, or go online. Drug stores sell several diff teeth whitening kits. Look down the isles that have tooth brushes, and tooth paste. Good luck.
Reply:bad teeth are a combo of nutrition AND heredity. dentists will tell you sometimes there%26#039;s just a %26quot;weak tooth%26quot; in the bunch (some poeple they are all weak) others have steel chompers. the fix $$ depends on how much is wrong, and I have seen people who%26#039;ve used the crest whitestrips w/ great results. (my teeth aren%26#039;t straight enough for the whitestrips, I%26#039;m afraid of un-whitened spots) I want to try the aquafresh trays but haven%26#039;t tried %26#039;em yet %26#039;cause they%26#039;re $35

but my dentist told me that the walgreen whitening strips worked really well for one of her clients %26amp; they are like ten dollars cheaper.

Reply:Bad teeth do run in families...i had two impacted teeth from my dad%26#039;s side which resulted in braces at age 17, 19 they came off due to the rapid decay of bone structure on my mom


s side. so now i am almost 23 years old and needing to get dentures....yeah sucks....you can only drink so much milk...oh yes my braces cost me almost 10 grand, plus a 1200 dollar surgery to uncover a tooth that wouldn%26#039;t come down...now it will cost 1900 to pull 29 teeth...don%26#039;t have wisdom teeth...and another 12 to pull one in the middle of the roof of my mouth...depending how bad your teeth are i would go straight to the dentures cus in the long run you save...although it is nicer to have your own teeth....if you go to the UofA dentistry building they can give you a consultation and it may be cheaper...my mouth was far to complicated....wish you luck
Reply:Bad teeth are past down from generations, because my grandad has teeth missing (they didnt fall out, they just never grew, so he had gaps) This was pasted down to my dad and then unfortunantly to me :( Dental work can cost alot, im hoping to get mine done soon!
