You can prevent teeth from getting worse by flossing&brushingbut can you make the teeth that are bad better?

my friend has really bad teeth, some are chipped and they are yellow.the other night one tooth in the bad just broke in half. he grides his teeth alot. how can he stop this and how can he prevent this from happening to his other teeth. is there anyway to make his messed up teeth look better and become healthier even though they are already bad?

Only a dentist can fix bad teeth.

Poor oral hygene will not help.
Reply:Honestly, if they%26#039;re that bad... chances are the dental bills to make them look proper again are going to be so outrageous, that it%26#039;d be better to just get them pulled and to get dentures. I know it sounds weird, but my friend (27 years old) did that 2 years ago and loves his new teeth. The grinding of his teeth is usually more of a nerves issue/habit... hard to break, and it causes serious damage to your teeth over time. The yellowing of his teeth, isn%26#039;t a big deal.. get laser whitening or some crest white strips if he%26#039;s more patient. If there%26#039;s lots of chips in his teeth, and the enamal is so weak that his teeth are just breaking when he grinds them.. I%26#039;d say that he might be past the %26quot;point of no return%26quot; so to speak, and dentures might be a viable option. Just my $0.02.
