How bad is it for your overall health to have bad teeth?

I know it's not good...but there are people I know that I am genuinely concerned about and I've heard that it can be bad for your health when you do not take care of your teeth. I know someone who doesn't ever get their teeth cleaned let alone even go to a dentist their whole life. The teeth are pretty gross and they have bad breath. I love them dearly, but do I say anything?

May be these people have not got the money to go to the dentist, so buy them some mouth gargle and pick the right time, in private to tell them, may be you could help find a cheap dentist
