Are my teeth bad?

My teeth are very yellow and hardly any white parts at all. Does this mean that i have really bad and unhealthy teeth or is this just plaque and can be easily removed?

I'm **** scared of the dentist so haven't had an appointment in about 2-3 years. I would say it's only recently (last year or so) that i have started to brush my teeth twice a day (used to be of a morning only), and even more recently sometimes 3 times a day. I have started to cut down on chocolate and don't drink fizzy drinks anymore.

I don't floss as i am not exaclty sure how. Is it really neccesary?

What would you recommend for healthy teeth, and is it stupid not to have had a dentist appointment for so long and should i get one soon.

Are my teeth bad?
WELL SOME PPL HAVE YELLOWER TEETH THAN OTHERS. BUT IS SUGGEST THAT YOU GO AND SEE THE DENTIST, THE FACT THAT YOU EVEN POSTED IN THIS FORUM WITH THIS REQUEST MEANS THAT YOU WANT TO GO SEE THE DENTIST, AND THAT YOU NEED A LITTLE PUSH. DONT BE SCARED, IT IS NOT THAT BAD.

FLOSSING IS NECESSARY AT LEAST EVERY 3 DAYS MINIMUM. YOUR TEETH CAN BE BLEACHED.
Reply:Brushing your teeth with hydrogen peroxide will help clear up any yellow stains on your teeth as well as using crest whitestrips, if you choose to do so. I haven't had a dentist appointment in 2 and a half years because I move all over the country a lot and it is hard to find a good dentist in such little time. However, I have healthy teeth because I brush and floss twice a day. Have someone teach you to floss and remember to brush and floss twice a day or brush twice a day and floss once a day because your teeth might be sensitive and too much flossing might hurt.
Reply:You can't brush cavaties away so by increasing your brushing it isn't going to help if the problem if already exist. Go to the dentist for a cleaning. Truly it's not that bad however the longer you wait the more pain you could expereince from it. Is it worth it? I hate the dentist but I go every 6 months to insure a healthy smile. Recently I've lost dental coverage and hadn't gone in 1 year......I am obsessed with teeth cleaning. I brush twice always and rinse with listerine (don't floss as much as I should) and I don't drink soda, coffee, or eat candy! However in that one year I ended up with a cavity! I was pissed!

So just suck it up and go to the dentist. Your teeth will thank you! good luck!
