SURVEY: Have you ever seen a dentist with bad teeth?

A dentist with bad teeth wouldn't be a good advocate for dental health care?

SURVEY: Have you ever seen a dentist with bad teeth?
Yes, but he was British so I understood.
Reply:Never had bad teeth so i dont know
Reply:Yes, I guess..lol.
Reply:yes, not bad but not good teeth
Reply:Never, but if I did I would run like hell to the nearest exit!
Reply:yes i have...his teeth had gaps, and were yellow!
Reply:I would think it would be a poor advertisement of his services, to say the least. Sounds like scabby teeth syndrome
Reply:NO. My mom's a dentist who has a dentist who has a dentist (and it goes on) but isn't the other dentist.
Reply:no i have not.
Reply:I beg to differ. Many people choose a profession based on their own history, and any child that has had a lot of work done on their teeth may just get interested in making sure other people don't have to go through what they did. Now as far as them having bad teeth, it's hard to tell if someones teeth are real. So they may have a full set of falsies, and we would never know.

I know a dentist that had almost all of his teeth drilled/filled as a child, and this was his reasoning to go into dentistry. I also know someone who is in school for Oncology right now, spurred by the time she spent as a child in the hospital with leukemia. It's the same reasoning. So I would say a dentist with bad teeth might just be the best advocate for dental health care.
